On April 29, our church family gathered to celebrate a milestone years in the making—the groundbreaking of Connection Pointe Avon.
What began as a vision to bring the hope of Jesus to more people in Hendricks County took a tangible step forward as hundreds gathered to worship, pray, and dedicate this future campus to God. The evening was filled with excitement, gratitude, and anticipation as we celebrated not just the start of construction, but the beginning of a new chapter in the story God is writing through Connection Pointe.
The celebration brought together families, volunteers, staff, elders, and community members who have been praying and preparing for this moment. Throughout the evening, we worshiped together and heard from Pastor John, who shared the heart behind the Avon location and the opportunity before us to reach more people with the life-changing message of Jesus.
One of the most meaningful moments of the night was the ceremonial groundbreaking. Surrounded by staff and elders, shovels hit the dirt for the first time, marking the official beginning of construction. It served as a powerful reminder that while a building is being built, the true mission remains unchanged: helping people know Jesus and live out their God-given purpose.
Families also participated in a prayer walk around the property, stopping to pray over the future spaces where people will worship, find community, serve others, and experience life transformation. From children to grandparents, generations joined together to dedicate the land and ask God to use this campus in ways beyond what we can imagine.
As we stood on the property that evening, it was impossible not to think about the countless stories that will unfold here in the years ahead. Stories of people finding faith, discovering community, growing in their relationship with Jesus, and taking their next steps toward Him. Stories of families being strengthened, students finding purpose, and lives being transformed by God's grace.
The Avon location represents more than a new location—it represents an opportunity to create space for people who are searching for hope, connection, and a place to belong.
We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has prayed, given, served, and supported this vision. While the groundbreaking marked a significant milestone, it is only the beginning. We can't wait to see all that God will do through Connection Pointe Avon in the months and years ahead.
