Kaya's Story

At Connection Pointe, we believe that students aren't just the future of the Church. They're leaders right now! And stories like Kaya's remind us just how powerfully God is working through the next generation.

Kaya, a sophomore at Avon High School, recently returned from a mission trip to Guatemala, where she saw firsthand that God's kingdom is alive and active around the world. Moved by the faith of other students there and inspired by their spiritual maturity, she came home with a new fire in her heart, a boldness to share Jesus wherever she went.

Back at school, Kaya began to see every class period as an opportunity to share the gospel. She turned to classmates and simply asked, "Do you know Jesus?" What followed were open conversations, curious questions, and a real hunger for truth. Drawing from her notes and what she learned in past worldview series at our student services, Kaya was able to clearly explain the gospel, answer tough questions, and point her peers to Jesus.

In just one day, three of her classmates made the decision to follow Christ. Kaya immediately got them Life Application Study Bibles, helped them understand how to read God's Word, and began walking alongside them in their faith. All of this is because one student said yes to God and because of your commitment to raising the strongest generation.

Let Kaya's story be a reminder to all of us. One bold conversation can change a life. Thank you for praying, giving, and leading the way. You're making it possible for students like Kaya to be the light of Jesus in their schools, their communities, and the world.
